Advice from a caterpillar and the Cheshire Cat.
Alice met a large caterpillar sitting on top of a mushroom, arms crossed, smoking a long pipe quietly. She spoke to him in a sleepy, drawling voice: “Who are you?” " Alice replied that she hardly knew herself at present. She had known who she was that morning, but she had changed many times since then.
“What do you mean?” said the Caterpillar sternly. Alice couldn't explain it well because she didn't feel like herself anymore. Growing up and shrinking down confuses the mind! She said to him, “When you become a chrysalis, which is what will happen to you, and then a butterfly, I think you'll feel funny, don't you think?”
The Caterpillar took the hookah out of its mouth, yawned, and shook itself; then it climbed down from the mushroom, slid into the grass, and said, “One side of this mushroom will make you grow, and the other will make you shrink.”
A cat, who was just smiling, perched in a tree, showed her the directions she could follow by making a circle with his right paw, then his left paw. He invited her to the Queen's house for a game of croquet before disappearing almost completely. Only his smile still floated in the tree.
