It also appears in a parodic vein (<em>Monty Python: Holy Grail!<\/em>), closer to the sources (<em>Perceval le Gallois<\/em>) or melodramatic (<em>First Knight<\/em>). Boorman's adaptation, <em>Excalibur<\/em>, is a hybrid work that blends reference to the sources with spectacular mise-en-sc\u00e8ne.
